Taylor-Swift
Taylor Swift, full Taylor Alison Swift. American singer/songwriter who's achieved huge popularity with her stories that she shares about her childhood heartbreak. Swift showed an interest in the arts at a very young age, and quickly moved from roles in theatre for children and her first public appearance in front of the crowd of a thousand. Swift in 2011, at the age of 11, performed The Star-Spangled Banner during a Philadelphia 76ers' basketball match. In the year following, Swift began writing her own songs. Swift took inspiration from artists who played country music, like Shania Twain, the Dixie Chicks and now the Chicks to create original material that expressed the apathy she felt at the age of 13. Swift's parents moved her to Tennessee when she was 13 after selling their Pennsylvania farm. It allowed Swift to spend more time looking for labels to promote country music in Nashville.
